Today, April 12, takes place in Bucharest, the conference "Aviation Day in Romania" event organized by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) in association with the Romanian Civil Aviation Authority (AACR), under the patronage of the Ministry of Transport, at Radisson Blue Hotel, between 09:00 - 17:00.
The event marks the Romanian Presidency of the EU Council bringing together in Bucharest industry leaders and high-level officials from Europe to discuss priorities, challenges and opportunities in air transport in the region, in a high-level conference, organized under the motto "Together for a Europe securely connected ".
Government representatives, MEPs, regulators, industry experts, representatives of airlines, airports, service providers and technology partners in the global aviation industry are currently discussing strategic aspects of the airline industry in the region such as:
- Air transport infrastructure in the region, as a lever to increase connectivity;
- Cyber security - impact and trends in aviation;
- Innovation and digitization for the air transport industry;
- Consumer protection in terms of the application of the provisions of the European regulation on air passenger rights;
- Impact of aviation on the environment and initiatives to address it (eg CORSIA / ICAO - Carbon Offset and Reduction Scheme for international aviation).
