Accreditations for journalists

In order to ensure the access of the media representatives to the information of public interest, the Romanian Civil Aeronautical Authority (AACR) grants on request, without discrimination, permanent or temporary accreditations to journalists and other representatives of the media. Accredited persons will have priority access to the information disseminated and the events organized by AACR.

Permanent accreditation

The permanent accreditation is valid until the end of the current year, and the journalists who have permanent accreditation are informed by e-mail about the activities of AACR and have access to the public actions organized by AACR.

To obtain a permanent accreditation to AACR, journalists must complete and submit an accreditation application, the model of which can be downloaded here (estimated average time to complete the application: 5 minutes).

The application for accreditation shall be accompanied, for compliance, by the following documents:

  • photo (work ID type);
  • copy of the work ID card;
  • copy of identity card.

The above-mentioned documents can be sent in electronic format to the e-mail address comunicare@caa.ro or submitted to the AACR Secretariat in Bucharest, Sos. București-Ploiești, Nr. 38-40, sector 1, Romania.

Permanent accreditations are issued as follows:

  • for the central written press: 3 editors and 2 photojournalists;
  • for the local written press: 1 editor and 1 photojournalist;
  • for radio and television stations: 3 editors and 8 operators and technicians;
  • for news agencies: 3 editors and 3 photojournalists.

Permanent accreditation is granted within 2 (two) working days from the registration of the accreditation application and is valid until the end of the current year, requiring an annual renewal.

After obtaining the accreditation, by reporting to the AACR headquarters, the media representatives will pick up the accreditation cards, after presenting a valid identity document or the press card. Accreditation cards are not transferable.

Temporary accreditation

The temporary accreditation is valid for one day and allows journalists access to public actions organized by AACR. Temporary accreditation can be obtained each time, based on an accreditation request from the editorial office, signed by the editor-in-chief, for the person / persons requesting accreditation.

A model application for accreditation can be downloaded here (estimated average time to complete the application: 5 minutes).

  • The application for accreditation will be accompanied, for compliance, by the following documents:
  • photo (work ID type);
  • copy of the work ID card;
  • copy of the identity card.

The above-mentioned documents can be sent in electronic format to the e-mail address comunicare@caa.ro  or submitted to the AACR Secretariat, in Bucharest Sos. București-Ploiești, Nr. 38-40, sector 1, Romania.

Temporary accreditation is granted within 2 (two) working days from the registration of the accreditation application and is valid for one day, only for the event/ events for which it was issued.

After obtaining the accreditation, by reporting to the AACR headquarters, the media representatives will pick up the accreditation cards, after presenting a valid identity document or a press card. Accreditation cards are not transferable.

Refusal, withdrawal or expiry of accreditation

The withdrawal or refusal of the accreditation of a media representative must be motivated by facts that prevent the normal conduct of AACR's activity and  do not concern the opinions expressed in the press by that journalist. Should the accreditation of a journalist be withdrawn, the media institution (the editorial office on whose behalf he/ she obtained the accreditation) will be informed, so that they be able to obtain the accreditation of another journalist.

If an accredited journalist terminates the employment contract with the newsroom on whose behalf he/ she obtained the accreditation to AACR, his/ her accreditation becomes invalid. Thus, the media institutions must notify AACR in writing if they wish to withdraw the accreditation of a journalist or if there are cases in which the employment relationship between the accredited journalist and the newsroom on whose behalf he obtained accreditation at AACR ceases.

Also, journalists with permanent accreditation are asked to request the renewal of accreditation to AACR at the beginning of each calendar year. Notifications and requests regarding the accreditations of journalists can be sent in writing to the e-mail address comunicare@caa.ro  or to the AACR Secretariat in Bucharest, Sos. București-Ploiești, Nr. 38-40, sector 1, Romania.
