AACR wishes everyone "Happy Birthday!" on the occasion of the "International Day of Civil Aviation", an event celebrated every year on December 7.
To mark the half-century since the creation of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO / ICAO), in 1994 the ICAO / ICAO General Assembly proposed to the United Nations (UN) the official recognition of December 7 as the International Day of Civil Aviation ”and its inclusion in the official UN calendar.
"75 Years of Connecting the World" is the motto chosen by ICAO / ICAO to celebrate the 75th anniversary of international civil aviation, on which occasion the UN has prepared several events, among which we mention: the organization thematic exhibitions with important moments in the history of international civil aviation, the hoisting of a flag specially designed for this event in historical locations, the organization of aerial demonstrations, etc.
Given the special significance of this year's event, ICAO / ICAO has produced a video reviewing the main stages in the development of international civil aviation (https://www.dropbox.com/s/vjt5k0hh6o2ybvc/ICAO75_ENG-Subtitles.mp4? dl = 0), simultaneously with an information campaign carried out on social networks, all in order to achieve a better connection between the specialists of the international aeronautical industry and the general public.
By accessing the hashtags: # ICAO75 and #FLYDAY those who want to be part of this event can send personalized photos, photos that will be included in a digital album entitled simple "ICAO75" (more information on this topic you can get by accessing the event page).
Given the new technologies (autonomous equipment, new materials, etc.), safety concepts and business models that require substantial changes in the medium and long-term development of global air transport, this year's event also has the unique role to strengthen, globally, the importance of international civil aviation as part of the social and economic development strategies of states, but also of the unique role of ICAO / ICAO in promoting the safety and sustainable development of global air transport.
AACR together with ICAO thanks all the partners and collaborators for the effort and wishes them "Happy Birthday!".
