The president of the Brent Scowcroft Center for International Security within the Atlantic Council of the United States of America, General (ret.) James Jones was received this week by the leadership of the Romanian Civil Aviation Authority.
During the discussions, topics of common interest in the field of Strategic Partnership between Romania and the United States of America were discussed in terms of civil-military aviation cooperation, Romania's strategic relevance in terms of ensuring aviation safety and security in the region, and the role of AACR in ensuring safe air traffic for conflict areas.
AACR Director Armand Petrescu and General (ret.) James Jones highlighted Romania's relations with the United States and cooperation in the field of aeronautics at a high level, the two discussing a possible partnership in the field of unmanned aircraft on board and the development of the concept of cyber security in aviation.
Also, during the meeting, the two interlocutors agreed that it is important to consolidate and expand the cooperation between Romania and the United States of America.
