Following the publication of the final report of the investigation of the civil aviation accident produced on 10.05.2013 in the area of Ciochiuța locality, Mehedinți county, in which an AN-2 aircraft was involved and which can be accessed at www.cias.gov .ro in the Publications / Reports section, we communicate the following:
- R.A. The AACR recommends that all air operators operating AN-2 aircraft be fitted with a warning label regarding the correspondence of the petrol valve and the "tank group" switch positions. It is suggested to mount the label next to the already existing label holder next to the left cockpit (according to the annex).
- All AN-2 aircraft operators shall verify the presentation format of the "check-list" document of each aircraft and also in its contents, in the chapter "Checks before take-off", to appear as a separate point the verification of correspondence between the positions of the valve and the "tank group" switch
R.A. AACR will verify the implementation of the measures during the planned surveillance / renewal audits.
