The Romanian Civil Aviation Authority (AACR) and the National Authority for Persons with Disabilities (ANPD) have concluded a collaboration protocol for the joint implementation of activities aimed at the right of persons with disabilities and persons with reduced mobility to free movement, freedom of choice and treatment. non-discriminatory in Romanian airports and at air carriers operating on Romanian airports.
Thus, the two authorities will collaborate in the elaboration and implementation of unitary procedures regarding the monitoring activities carried out according to GD no. 787/2007, and control carried out according to Regulation (EC) no. 1107/2006, on the rights of disabled persons and persons with reduced mobility during air travel, at national airports and at air carriers operating at national airports in Romania. The protocol also stipulates that the two institutions will inform each other about situations reported by people with disabilities and people with reduced mobility traveling by air.
In addition, the ANPD will provide support to AACR in carrying out the activities arising from the new Administrative Strengthening Program developed by ECAC (European Civil Aviation Conference) which is currently running a pilot program to standardize standards on accessibility for people with disabilities / reduced mobility to air transport. .
The collaboration protocol between AACR and ANPD was signed on August 6, at the headquarters of the Romanian Civil Aeronautical Authority.
