Considering the debates initiated on social networks regarding the flight activities with unmanned aircraft carried out during the Informal Summit of the Presidents and Heads of State of the European Union, event organized on May 9, 2019 in Sibiu, AACR makes the following clarifications:
No categories of unmanned aircraft other than those in the "state aircraft" category, as defined in the Air Code, were used in aerial filming / photography activities during the Summit;
operational restrictions on the take-off / landing of unmanned aircraft in urban areas and overflights of densely populated areas are not applicable to "state aircraft";
In the exercise of their legal powers and powers, the institutions of the defense, public order and national security system may own and use unmanned aircraft, which are aircraft of the category "state aircraft".
