From March 23 to April 5, 2019, a team of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO - ICAO) will conduct a civil aviation security audit activity at the civil aviation authority in Kuwait. The audit team will also include a representative of the Aeronautical and Cyber Security Directorate, as a certified ICAO auditor.
Through the participation of AACR representatives in the activities carried out by ICAO in the field of civil aviation security, an extra recognition of the level of professionalism in the field of aeronautical security in Romania is brought. Also, through the experience gained, it contributes to the development of the civil aviation security system at national level.
This audit shall be performed in the framework of the ICAO USAP-CMA audit program, in accordance with the ICAO working methodology and shall target the competent authorities of the Member States and selected airports, operators and entities that apply aviation security standards.
