The NSA Committee is one of the three bodies that govern the DANUBE FAB functional airspace block, together with the Governing Council and the ANSP Committee. According to art. 11 of the Agreement concluded between Romania and the Republic of Bulgaria on the establishment of the DANUBE FAB functional airspace block, the NSA Committee ensures the coordination between the national supervisory authorities, evaluates and approves both the common safety policy and the safety case in DANUBE FAB and submits them for approval to the Governing Council DANUBE FAB, monitors the process of achieving convergence and a harmonized approach to the certification and ongoing supervision of air navigation service providers and air traffic controller training organizations.
The first meeting of the NSA DANUBE FAB Committee took place in Sinaia, on February 21, 2013. At this meeting, the NSA Committee:
- approved the Cooperation Agreement at NSA level and the official exchange of documents took place;
- approved the Rules of Procedure of the NSA Council.
At the same time, the Committee informed the Governing Council about the conclusions of its first meeting, during the first meeting of the Council, which took place on February 21, 2013, in Sinaia, after the meeting of the NSA Committee.
