In accordance with European Commission Regulation (EC) no. 736/2006 and the planning of the EASA standardization inspections for 2013, between 15 and 19 April 2013 within the Romanian Civil Aeronautical Authority (AACR) the EASA standardization inspection was carried out in the field of initial and continuous airworthiness.
The standardization inspection aimed to monitor the implementation of European regulations (European Commission Regulations (EC) No. 2042/2003, (EC) No. 216/2008 and (EC) No. 748/2012) in Romania as well as the way in which the AACR inspectors apply their provisions in the certification / monitoring process of the aircraft registered in Romania as well as of the civil aeronautical agents that carry out activities in the field of continuous and initial airworthiness.
As part of the standardization inspection, the EASA team visited CN TAROM, Medallion Air and the Romanian Aeroclub. The purpose of the visits was to verify the way in which the mentioned aeronautical agents implemented and complied with the requirements of the European regulations referred to above.
