The European Commission has launched the open public consultation process to assess the implementation of Regulation (EU) no. 376/2014 on reporting, analysis and subsequent actions regarding civil aviation events, in accordance with the provisions of art. 24 (2) of the same Regulation.
It will be assessed whether and to what extent the Regulation has achieved its objectives, while at the same time highlighting the problems and difficulties encountered in its application.
The duration of the open public consultation process is 12 weeks, the website dedicated to this process being the following: https://ec.europa.eu/info/law/better-regulation/initiatives/ares-2019-2781949_en#plan-2019- 5269.
It should be noted that this round of consultations is not addressed to the national civil aviation authorities, for which a dedicated questionnaire will be developed shortly.
