A team of the Romanian Civil Aviation Authority participates in the third annual global aviation security symposium (AVSEC 2019) at the ICAO headquarters in Montreal, Canada, between September 18-20, 2019.
The event discusses best practices in the field of aviation security, as well as risk awareness; technology and innovation; security supervision and quality assurance; capacity building.
The event hosts roundtables where interactive dialogues take place between global aviation decision-makers and leading aeronautical representatives.
In the context of the dialogue, the Director General of AACR, Armand Petrescu, stated that: “Every organization involved in the implementation of aviation security must overcome many obstacles. Resource deficiencies, insufficient high-level support or a lack of specific threat information are just some of the challenges that can impact state or industry efforts to achieve the objectives of the Global Aviation Security Plan (GASeP). '
At the end of the “Global Aviation Security - AVSEC 2019” symposium, the participants concluded that the global approach to aviation security through the global aviation security plan, roadmap and regional initiatives have led to more efficient processes, innovation and better use of available resources. thus the preconditions for better aviation security.
