AACR informs all aviation entities about the temporary suspension of flights with Boeing 737 Max 8 and 9 aircraft
The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has issued an emergency airworthiness directive and a safety directive. The Airworthiness Emergency Directive required the suspension of commercial air transport operations of the two Boeing 737 Max 8 and Max 9 models within the EU, and the Safety Directive prohibits commercial flights with the two Boeing aircraft types specified above, to, from and above the airspace of the European Union.
Consequently, AACR issued information to the air operators, airports and ROMATSA on the temporary suspension of flights with Boeing 737 Max 8 and 9 aircraft, decided by EASA.
Thus, in Romania the flights with Boeing 737 Max 8 and 9 aircraft are suspended starting with 21.00, March 12, 2019, both in the national airspace and on the airports in Romania following the EASA directives.
