On 07.01.2021, His Excellency Adrian Zuckerman, the U.S. Ambassador to Romania and Armand Petrescu, the General Director of the Romanian Civil Aeronautical Authority (AACR) had a working meeting.
The agenda included discussions on the functional responsibilities of the AACR and how to improve cooperation in the field of aviation safety and security programs that are to be conducted by the U.S. Embassy and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
Armand Petrescu reaffirmed the availability of AACR to support the development in Romania of a new session of the TSA Training Seminar, offering support with AACR specialists for the cyber security module.
Issues regarding cooperation between the AACR and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in the field of unmanned aerial vehicle, cyber security and other regulations were also discussed.
In the context of this meeting, the Director General of the AACR extended to His Excellency Mr. Zuckerman the invitation to visit the new AACR calibration aircraft, the Beechcraft 350 Super King Air (YR-CAA), equipped with Rockwell Collins Pro Line Fussion aircraft.
