The risk of Ebola virus infection in Romania is relatively low due to the absence of direct flights to and from Africa.
However, in the context of the rapid spread of Ebola Virus infection, which has recently led to cases in the United States and Europe, the Romanian Civil Aviation Authority has issued information, recommendations and instructions to AACR Certified Air Operators. international passenger flights, as well as to International Airports or open to international traffic on the territory of Romania, regarding the measures to be taken to identify passengers suspected of having contracted an Ebola virus infection as well as to prevent transmission to other passengers or staff aviation.
In this regard, AACR is in contact with the National Institute of Public Health in order to harmonize the action plans and measures necessary in case of an Ebola virus infection in Romania, depending on the updates received from the World Health Organization (WHO) and International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).
